Wallcea Living new appointment

Integrated Retirement Community (IRC) operator, Wallacea Living, has appointed Nazish Shaikh as their new head of HR, as the company prepares for growth ahead of welcoming its first homeowners.

With over 20 years of experience across industries such as real estate, facilities management and events, Nazish brings a wealth of strategic and operational HR expertise. Her distinguished career includes significant contributions to the retirement living sector, notably during her tenure at Retirement Villages Group, where she served as HR Business Partner before progressing to Head of People. In these roles, Nazish was instrumental in fostering organisational growth and advancing HR excellence within Integrated Retirement Communities (IRC).

The newly-created role will see Nazish establish an in-house HR department at Wallacea Living, with diversity and inclusion, engagement, employee health and wellbeing, talent acquisition and management being her priorities.

Paul Morgan, chief executive at Wallacea Living, said: 'Since launching our first apartments for sale in October 2023, our team has doubled in size. Nazish’s appointment reflects our intention to further invest in our growing team over the coming months as we prepare for the opening of Wallacea Living, Marylebone, and our plans for future IRC sites.

'Nazish’s extensive knowledge and wealth of experience will be a great asset to the company. It’s clear to see that she has a genuine passion for developing and valuing a workforce that we can continue to be proud of.'

Wallacea Living is currently delivering 104 thoughtfully-designed luxury apartments, complemented by an array of on-site amenities. With proactive wellbeing at the heart of its offering, Wallacea Living, Marylebone, is designed to empower its homeowners to live independently for as long as possible, whilst ensuring homeowners can have the time of their later lives. Nestled between Little Venice and Paddington Basin, Wallacea Living’s debut IRC is part of Berkeley’s West End Gate development, London.

Future homeowners will benefit from Wallacea Living’s 24-7 services from their concierge and care teams, regular health and wellbeing MOTs and a private GP booking portal. They will also have access to the on-site restaurant, swimming pool, spa and salon, private cinema and library bar, alongside a vibrant calendar of events and classes.

Shaikh said: 'It’s clear that Wallacea Living has strong values that resonate with mine, and a positive culture where the focus is on our most prized asset - our team. I’m looking forward to establishing the HR department, growing our team, and providing valuable support to our existing employees whilst they help to revolutionise how our customers think about their later years.'
