Derby facility will be home to 66 residents
Luxury care home, Heatherton House, had its grand opening in Littleover, Derby, with an official ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Heatherton House, the latest opening from Danforth Care Homes, is offering 24-hour residential, dementia, and respite care for residents.
And, at the forefront of innovation when it comes to energy-saving care homes, Heatherton house is on a path to zero-carbon consumption and self generation of power, with solar panels and 100% electrical power.
As well as being environmentally conscious, the home has also been purpose built with the residents’ lifestyles in mind.
It includes an onsite beauty and hair salon, cinema, library, and landscaped garden, as well as a coffee bar and restaurant.
A spokesman said: “The space should feel like a home, which is why we will work hard to uphold an inclusive, safe environment where family can visit and enjoy their lifestyle with them, from coffee bar trips to joining in with daily activities.”
Every resident has a private room with wetrooms, smart TVs, and mini fridges.
The home also offers restaurant-quality food cooked by the team’s onsite chefs.
