Is your ‘out of sight’ roof estate an asset or a liability?

We are a pro-active asset management and roofing systems partner.

Langley is a UK based leader in waterproofing and roofing systems, supplying quality systems and managing roof installations throughout the UK. We take a responsive and personable approach on every project providing high performance, long lasting roofing solutions monitored and using only our own Approved network of contractors to ensure exemplary quality of workmanship. We provide all clients and stakeholders with roof waterproofing systems, that meet comprehensive specification criteria whilst ensuring full compliance with current building regulations.

We offer a roof condition survey to pro-actively help you to assess and understand:

• Condition

Cost Certainty

• Compliance

For healthcare facilities, the primary concern will always be the welfare and comfort of patients and their families – and ensuring that all elements of the building continue to perform as designed. Your estate is an ‘out of sight’ asset and its condition can be unknown over time and may only be given should an issue arise. Often, the problem has been developing over time, however, with the right monitoring in place, any issue can be caught before it reaches a critical stage. We offer reassurance that no remedial work is needed or where work is recommended or required, provide a comprehensive roof condition survey with supporting photographic evidence and advice.

Cost Certainty

Remedial work might have been carried out over years, such as repeated reactive fixes, that can ultimately cause unexpected disruption and be more costly in the long run. Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) can identify and address relatively minor defects before they may develop into more serious issues. Also, when a roof begins to leak it is not only the cost to rectify the defect but also the damage that the water ingress may cause to the fabric of the building.

The maintenance backlog on NHS sites was one of the issues raised in the Naylor Review. In the government’s response to the report, it acknowledged that “reducing backlog maintenance not only provides a safer and higher quality estate but reduces running costs in the longer term.”

Langley provides a long-term cost-effective approach by creating a full asset management plan for your healthcare estate’s roof asset. This helps plan and manage budgets more effectively and minimise the risk of sudden or unexpected costs occurring.

At Langley, we can provide you with a fully comprehensive condition survey, that details all the regulatory requirements to offer you peace of mind that your healthcare estate’s roof asset is compliant.

If work is carried out, subsequent inspections take place regularly to ensure all works are fully compliant with Health and Safety and Building Regulations, including a full assessment of fire safety for each area of the roof.

Next steps

We can competently assess your roof estate and advise if any remedial work is required and reassure you of the condition of your roof estate.

If work is required, by trusting a single source to handle every aspect of your project, from initial consultations and design, right through to final installation, after sales care and maintenance, it allows for a single communication source and peace of mind that a trusted supplier is monitoring your healthcare roof estate for a successful outcome.
